Do you feel like life just isn’t going as planned lately? Do you feel stuck and like you’ve lost who you were? Are your thoughts controlling you and getting the best of you? Do you find yourself binging tv shows more than having meaningful interactions? Are you anxious or walking on eggshells waiting for the other shoe to drop? If you’re ready to process and cope with these feelings then I’m your girl!

I’m not your average therapist…I have a unique and relatable approach to therapy. You will feel validated, understood, safe, and supported. I am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. CBT is one of my specialties, therefore, you will have tangible skills to utilize outside of sessions.

I meet my clients where they are at so you can feel free to be completely yourself. I can’t wait to assist you on your journey of self discovery and watch you become the best version of yourself.

I’m passionate about supporting individuals and families on their journey toward healing and growth. My approach is warm, collaborative, and empowering — I believe that everyone has the ability to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and become the best version of themselves.

In my work, I help clients manage challenges related to anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relationship issues, as well as personal, social, and emotional development. I bring a balance of empathy, curiosity, humor, and creativity into sessions, meeting each person with respect and patience.

My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group settings. I collaborate closely with clients to explore their goals, build healthy coping skills, and create lasting positive change.

Whether you’re seeking guidance through a difficult season, wanting to strengthen emotional well-being, or hoping to create a more fulfilling path forward, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Let’s connect — I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

My work centers on supporting individuals who are ready to create meaningful change in their lives. Together, we’ll explore what’s been holding you back and uncover practical, lasting ways to move forward—within the safety of a space built on trust, authenticity, and understanding.

I specialize in Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Trauma, and Life Transitions, and I often work with challenges such as stress, self-esteem, shame, and relationships that surface along the journey of healing. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Every session is tailored to your unique needs. Through a blend of humor, validation, gentle challenge, and unwavering support, I aim to help you reconnect with your inner strength, build resilience, and rediscover a sense of balance and empowerment in your life.

“Healing begins when you feel truly seen.”

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York, I specialize in helping adults—both neurotypical and neurodivergent—navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief, immigration stress, and the emotional impact of chronic conditions. My goal is to create a space where you can safely explore your emotions without fear of judgment, and where the therapeutic relationship becomes a foundation for growth, trust, and change.

With a background in the performing arts, I bring a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection and a sensitivity to the emotional lives of creative individuals. Whether you’re an artist, a professional, or someone simply trying to make sense of life’s challenges, I aim to meet you where you are—with empathy, curiosity, and respect.

My therapeutic approach is eclectic and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based modalities tailored to your unique needs and goals. I also believe that creativity can be a powerful tool for healing, and I often integrate elements of art therapy to help clients express what words alone cannot capture.

I offer therapy in English and Italian, welcoming those who seek understanding, transformation, and a deeper connection to themselves.

You can feel good again. Despite the internal or external stressors that are keeping you from living your best life. Therapy can help you learn how to live intentionally, improve relationships, manage life stressors and cultivate self-love.

I am a culturally affirming Licensed Mental Health Counselor who utilizes evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT and person-centered approaches. I value creating a warm and encouraging space for clients to face their challenges, cope with trauma and grief, and build resilience and inner confidence.

My clinical experience includes working with adults in individual and group settings who experience challenges related to anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship conflicts. I also currently work several days a week as a crisis counselor at a non-profit organization, supporting people struggling with suicidal behaviors.

Seeking therapy can be a challenge but I hope you can take the courageous first step to reach out and see how I can support you.

Amelia Guzman, MHC-LP

Rebuilding hope starts here.

Life can leave us feeling unsteady — whether from anxiety, depression, or the strain of relationships that no longer feel safe or supportive. I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals and families rebuild trust, stability, and a sense of direction when life feels uncertain. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths, restore balance, and move toward lasting change.

In our work, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to help you understand what’s getting in the way and build practical tools to move forward. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth — a space where you can feel truly seen and supported.

Healing begins with connection. My passion lies in meeting people exactly where they are and walking beside them as they discover resilience, self-compassion, and growth. You don’t have to do it alone — let’s take the next step together.
